A formal Lean qualification would be advantageous with an in-depth understanding of Lean manufacturing principles. The incumbent must be able to effectively organize, teach, lead and facilitate multi-functional teams and possess excellent communication skills. Works with the COE to develop, facilitate and manage the introduction of new tools within the plant, to counteract identified problems, including: carries out education on Lean tools, processes and thinking; manages the introduction of tools and processes to support the Lean transformation, as a countermeasure to an identified problem; facilitates Kaizen events within the mill and supports events throughout KCP; and ensures existing activities (e.g., Centerlining, RfS) are interlinked to provide a coherent framework to the mill.5. Develops and manages systems and processes to ensure compliance with Plan/Do/Check/ Adjust processes within the plant, which will include: provides mechanisms to track and report the scorecard of Lean transformation measures; supports the introduction of management processes to ensure sustainability; supports the internal governance/PDCA processes; develops plant communication framework and manages internal and external communications relating to Lean; and introduces the teaching and thinking of the visual control system to plant personnel so that new clear and Lean systems are adopted and owned by those who use them. 6.
